Park Rules

General Rules

  • The speed limit in the park is 5 MPH. This is expected of all guests and their invitees. Only you
    can control speed bumps.
  • Drugs, alcohol abuse, domestic abuse, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, theft of property,
    either Park owned, or resident’s property, will not be tolerated and are grounds for immediate
    removal from the park. Underage consumption of alcohol is not allowed on the premises.
  • To be courteous to our neighbors, quiet hours in the park is from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Be
    considerate at all hours.
  • A parent or responsible adult must be present at all times.
  • Any decks, porches, patios, ramps etc. must have prior approval before construction. If you are
    unsure consult the park manager before beginning.
  • Only one camping unit may be plugged in or occupied per site. Only 2 vehicles per site. This
    excludes golf carts and 4 wheelers.
  • Use of RV Laundry washing machines is not allowed.
  • No selling or soliciting in the park without prior permission from the management.
  • Park and public bathrooms should be kept courteously clean. While we do not expect you to
    clean or sanitize this area, we do expect you to leave it ready for the next person.
  • Southwood RV Park does reserve the right to close any restroom as necessary.
  • During hurricane season, please understand that a mandatory evacuation means just that,
    mandatory. The Park must be empty, and all guests gone. Before leaving, please turn off your
    propane tanks, disconnect the water hose from spigot, disconnect power cord and place yard
    decorations, chairs, grills inside your RV.
  • NO ONE under the age of 16 shall be permitted to be at the docks or on a boat without adult
    supervision at any time.
  • Discharging of firearms of any kind is prohibited. This includes BB Guns, wrist rockets, sling shots,
    bow and arrows, or any device that propels a projectile.

Pet Policy

  • Pets (dogs & cats) must always be kept on a leash and under control.
  • The pet owner(s) are responsible for cleaning and disposing of all pet droppings.
  • No aggressive or bully breeds permitted (e.g., Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, etc.).
  • Maximum (2) dogs (pets) per unit; Please do not leave your dog or cat outside
    unattended.
  • Unsupervised barking is annoying to the neighborhood.
  • If walking your pets after dark, please carry a flashlight.
  • Do not leave dog or cat food out as it will attract unwanted wildlife.

Additional Policies

  • Please notify the on-site management of any problems with plugs, breakers, cable connections or
    water leaks as soon as possible.
  • Southwood RV Park expects your rig and all connections (electric, cable, water, and sewer) to
    be in good working order and free from shorts and leaks.
  • All units must have either a 90-degree connector or a donut to seal the sewer line and preferably
    encased in 4” PVC pipe.
  • Power lines, water hoses and cable lines should be bundled together and run from your rig to the power pedestal, preferably above the ground. This will prevent the
    weed whackers and lawn mowers from damaging them.
  • While we appreciate your desire to individualize your site for beauty and function, please
    understand that if you choose to put things in or on the ground you will be responsible for weed
    whacking around them to keep the appearance clean looking.
  • Please do not empty grease into the septic tanks.
  • All grease should be put into sealed containers and disposed of in the dumpster with the other household trash.
  • The dumpster should be used for household trash only.
  • All boxes must be broken down. If the box is full of paper or trash the box should be emptied, then broken down.
  • All old/broken appliances, furniture, old mattresses, and remodeling debris should be taken to a landfill.
  • Do not place items behind or next to the dumpsters.
  • Clutter, litter, and items that need to be stored outside the rig should be kept in storage containers and under the rig, or in approved storage buildings on the site.
  • Vehicle repair or maintenance is not allowed on the site. Please see on-site management for
    approved area.
  • Guests are urged to be careful of walks, steps, and drives. The Park cannot be responsible for
    injuries to the person or property, or property lost by, guests, or invitees.
  • The guest assumes the risks or hazards created by other guests, or invitees, fire, windstorm, tropical storm, hurricane, or other acts of God.
  • If you own a golf cart or other mode of transportation to move around the park, it must be
    equipped with working headlights if driving after dark.
  • Southwood RV Park assumes no liability for damage or injuries to a person or property.
  • The guests further agree to abide by any additional rules and regulations which may be posted or
    verbal in the opinion of the Management/Owners of the park, and be necessary in the operation of Southwood RV Park so that the Park stays desirable, attractive and a proper place to live.
